Episode 7 – Is Music Theory Learning Really That Important?

How many students have I seen with a glazed look over their eyes when I mention ‘Music Theory.’ I encourage all my students and you to include a little music theory writing every week because it is part of developing a solid foundation for reading and interpretation of music. I have noticed that those who choose not to do music theory study lack a lot when they reach intermediate and/or higher levels of skill. I urge you to consider this as an important inclusion into your weekly musical learning routine.
